It is an offbeat trail that is about a 3 hours drive from Skardu. It takes its name from the village Barah where the houses are still made from mud.
The village is famous for apricots, and experiencing both makes Barah worth visiting. The trails top out at 4300 meters, where you find two beautiful alpine lakes. But that’s not the end, the best part is hiking up to Moses Peak from the lakes. At 5350 meters, Moses Peak offers you to see every single one of the greatest mountains in Pakistan.
- Miranjani
The hike begins at the Nathia Gali Bazar and passes through the Dagri Naka mountainous region. Here you hike through chill and lush pine forests. These forests are surrounded by subtropical evergreen forests. It is not a challenging hike and offers some pretty attractive views. In this area, you will find a lot of places that have the word “Gali” in their name. The word Gali means “Valley” and is characteristic of this small region Galiyat of Islamabad.
- Margalla Hills

This place is right at the doorstep of Islamabad and will get all your attention. The best time to travel to this place is not specific. You can travel any time you want but prefer not to go trekking in winter. To reach your destination in time, it is better for you to start trekking in the morning. You can cover the trekking area within 4–5 hours. But, you can spend several days living in hotels because there are a lot of things to explore.
- Naltar Valley
Pakistan is well known for trekking and exploring its natural beauty. Naltar valley is a place where everyone would love to go and explore. You will get every beautiful view when going trekking to Naltar valley.

This place is well known as “Pipeline Trek” by the locals because it follows the water pipeline that was used to assist at the historic hill station of Murree.
